2nd National Seminar and Congress of the Indonesian Stem Cell Association

The Second National Seminar and Congress of the Indonesian Stem Cell Association (ASPI), themed “Indonesia Stem Cell Summit,” was held at the IPB International Convention Center on February 6–7, 2016. The event featured four keynote speakers from Japan, the United States, and Indonesia, as well as 20 invited speakers representing institutions that have conducted research and/or provided stem cell therapy services.

One of the speakers was the Head of PSSP LPPM IPB, Dr. drh. Joko Pamungkas, MSc, who delivered a presentation titled “Development of Nonhuman Primate Stem Cells in Indonesia.” Researchers from PSSP IPB also participated in the poster presentation session, namely Silmi Mariya, SSi, MSi; Dr. drh. Diah Iskandriati; drh. Fitriya N. A Dewi, PhD; and Dr. dr. Irma H. Suparto. Their poster titles included:

  1. Mamosphere Culture of Cells Derived from Macaca fascicularis
  2. Development of Mammosphere from Mammary Gland Epithelial Cell Culture of Long-Tailed Macaque (Macaca fascicularis) at Various Reproductive Phases
  3. Cardiomyocyte Differentiation Derived from Mesenchymal Stem Cells
